- Dr. Indu Shahani, a visionary thought leader, made a significant impact on education and value-based leadership with over four decades of experience. As the former Principal of H R College, University of Mumbai (2000-2016), she led the highest NAAC accredited single faculty college (3.72/4). Additionally, Dr. Shahani served on the University Grants Commission (2011-2014) and held two successful terms as the Sheriff of Mumbai in 2008 and 2009 for her exceptional contributions to education.
- Dr. Shahani, the first Indian Vice-Chair on the International Baccalaureate's Board of Governors, boasts over a decade of global IB experience. Recognized for her contributions, she received an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of Westminster, London. Serving as visiting faculty at UC Berkeley and NYU Stern, USA, she's a Lead Speaker at conferences worldwide. Dr. Shahani, a mentor to generations of students globally, established international linkages with prestigious universities in the USA, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and South Africa.
- Dr Indu Shahani has been invited on leading Corporate Boards and key listed companies that have provided an impetus for ‘Academia - Industry Collaboration’, the subject of her PhD. from University of Mumbai.
- Dr Shahani has received many Awards, prominent among them are ‘Women of the Decade Achievement Award’ by ASSOCHAM; ‘Citizen of Mumbai Award’ by Rotary Club of Bombay and ‘Excellence in Education Award’ by FICCI FLO.
